On the 16th of April at approximately 3:39 pm, White Sulphur Springs Fire and Meagher County Fire were paged to a report of smoke at the Town Pump. Two engines responded to the call, City Engine 2 with Ken Marks, David Collins and Shane Sereday and County Engine 114 with Otto Ohlson and Tim Collins. Also responding were volunteers David Collins, Sara Driemeyer, Denise Lopp, Jess Secrest, Jeff Sherer, Heith Stidham and Rick Seidlitz.

When the Town Pump was entered by the Fire Department, there was a large amount of smoke coming from the Lucky Lil’s side of the building and going into the Town Pump Side. Through inspection of the building it was determined that the air conditioner, on  the roof above Lucky Lil’s, had a freon leak that was spraying onto the motor causing the smoke. The unit was shut down; the leak was marked for repair. The smoke was then cleared out of the building with the positive ventilation fan.

The fire department cleared the scene and employees were allowed back into the building.
